February 7th, 2011 – First Signs of Spring
A little impromptu experiment for today. I spotted these daffodils this morning on my way to work but didn’t have time to take a photo. On my way home it’s dark, so I used the car headlights for illumination. I’m really pleased with the result 
February 4th, 2011 – The Band
A group shot of Smiling Ivy for you today. The guys are currently selecting their favourites from the shoot a few nights ago and I’m really looking forward to seeing which ones they pick out! I particularly like the over-blown effect on this shot – I was using a new-to-me flash and over-exposed the shot in the first place, which didn’t leave me too many options for post-processing. I’m really pleased with the result; not bad for a mistake

One from a few years ago for you today. This was taken using my old camera, a FujiFilm S5600, on holiday in the Lake District. It was my desktop wallpaper for a long time, I hope you like it as much as I do!

The second of many shots from a photo shoot for Smiling Ivy. This photo was a lot of fun to make, and it’s definitely a technique I’d like to explore further. I’d love to know what you think about this shot!
